John H. Daniels
The John H. Daniels Faculty is Canada’s leading school in urban design, landscape design and architecture. In this project, Sun Glow contributed to the building’s architectural design by using its modular Vision shade system on sunscreen fabrics for temperature and light control. We are proud to have taken part in shaping this new learning environment.

Myhal Centre
Being one of the most energy-efficient buildings at U of T, the Myhal Centre for Engineering, Innovation & Entrepreneurship hosts a variety of Sun Glow’s products. These include a two-tier Sunscreen system in the Institute for Robotics and Mechatronics, and manual Fascia systems to allow for a seamless design experience.

FitzGerald Building Revitalization
As part of this transformation, new window shades were installed to complement the historic character of the building while seamlessly integrating with the modern renovations. These shades not only enhance the architectural integrity of the space but also provide essential functionality suited for an institutional setting. Designed for durability and ease of use, they contribute to the revitalized LEED Silver-targeted building by improving energy efficiency, light control, and occupant comfort. This project is a prime example of adaptive reuse, blending heritage preservation with contemporary advancements in sustainability and energy management.
Robarts Library

CIBC Pan Am
The Field House is a state-of-the-art athletic facility designed to support both high-performance training and recreational activities. It features a versatile gymnasium space that accommodates various sports for training and competition, along with an indoor track for year-round running and fitness. The facility also includes a well-equipped fitness area with advanced cardio and weightlifting equipment, catering to athletes and casual users alike. As part of the interior furnishings, high-quality window shades were installed to enhance comfort, light control, and energy efficiency. These shades contribute to a well-balanced environment, reducing glare while maintaining natural light, ensuring an optimal experience for all users.

Gore Meadows Community Centre & Library
Sustainable design strategies and systems have been utilized to ensure the facility will achieve LEED Silver certification.
Both dual shades and sunscreen shades were selected. The dual shades allow for an opaque fabric to be lowered when room darkening is required and a 5% sunscreen to allow outward visibility while reducing glare.
