Stealth is Sun Glow's own motorization system for window shades, built on Zigbee 3.0 motors that can be run by remote, phone or voice. Motors come rechargeable, DC-powered or as a wand, and are specified with the shade at the point of order rather than fitted later.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Stealth motorization?
Stealth is Sun Glow's line of shade motors, built on Zigbee 3.0 with bi-directional communication so the shade reports its position back. Motors come in rechargeable, DC-powered (Flex) and wand versions, and fit roller, Interlude, Illusions, Roman and Vision shades.
How are Stealth shades powered?
The Stealth Rechargeable has a built-in battery charged by USB Type-C, with a full charge lasting up to six months, and an optional solar panel for continuous recharging. Stealth Flex runs on DC power from a 12V/3A adapter, an external battery, or a distribution panel powering up to 18 motors.
Can Stealth shades work with Alexa or Google Home?
Yes. Stealth connects through the free Smart Life app and works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and IFTTT. WiFi control requires the Stealth Bridge. Physical control is by one-channel or sixteen-channel remotes, the latter supporting six custom groups.
Are motorized shades noisy?
Stealth Flex and Wand motors operate at 32 decibels and the Stealth Rechargeable at 30 dBA or below, which Sun Glow describes as whisper quiet. Speeds are selectable at 20, 24 or 28 RPM on the Flex and Rechargeable motors.
What is the minimum shade width for a Stealth motor?
Seventeen and three-sixteenths inches for the Stealth Flex, and 22 inches for the Stealth Rechargeable and the Stealth Wand. Torque is 2Nm on the Flex and Rechargeable and 1.1Nm on the Wand. Your dealer confirms which motor suits the shade size and fabric weight.
Can existing shades be motorized with Stealth?
Stealth motors are specified with the shade when it is ordered, because the motor has to match the tube, the shade width and the fabric weight. For an existing installation, ask a Sun Glow dealer whether the shade can be retrofitted or needs replacing.
