Retail Projects
Cosmo Music
This one-of-a-kind music store has a large, atrium style entrance with separate retail music stores opposite the windows and second story studios overlooking the atrium. The atrium also features a café. The majority of the windows face west, requiring sun control in the afternoons.
The client selected Sheerweave 4600 Golden Sand with 3% openness, allowing some outward visibility yet controlling the hot afternoon sun.
The Accubar and 3″ fascia, both in an anodized finish, were used. Given the height of the shades and the daily requirement for raising and lowering, the shades are automated and operated by sun sensor controls which automatically raise and lower the shades as sun control is needed.
Toyota On the Park and Lexus On the Park
The entire lounge area was professionally designed to have a warm, retro atmosphere. A unique colour palette is used throughout the entire space. It is filled with funky furniture and focus grabbing fixed installments such as the café counter and raised floor.
To complete the look of the interior, Sheerweave 5000 Q49 Rattan Umber was selected for all of the roller shades with a 7% openness factor. This material radiates a warm glow and allows a lot of natural light in.
Acura Downtown
Two-storey showroom and offices.
Products Used:
- Manual roller shades with CS101 fabric and FASCIA.
- RTS Motorized roller shades with CS103 fabric and FASCIA.
Real Canadian Superstore
Superstores are configured with a series of short windows along one side of the building. The windows are all situated close to the ceiling, making them manually inoperable. There was also a requirement for limited staff intervention to be required in operation of the shades.
A sunscreen fabric was selected for the shades as well as automated operation. For automation control, sun sensors were used to allow the shades to be lowered when solar energy is detected.
The Shoe Company
The client uses high level shelving for the storage of shoes. To shield the storage areas from client views while keeping them easily accessible to store employees, fixed graphic shades were selected.
Images were printed on CS 103, a fabric with 3% openness.
